Kenneth Ma is a Director of Moore Hong Kong and heads up the firms’ Transaction & Valuation team. Kenneth helps our clients reflect the true values of their businesses and assets, and advise them throughout the negotiation processes with investors.

Kenneth has over 10 years’ experience in providing valuation and corporate finance services in Hong Kong, mainland China, and  Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Moore Hong Kong, Kenneth had built and headed the in-house valuation team of an international accounting firm and later founded his corporate finance and valuation consultancy firm. He had also been the person-in-charge of a renowned Hong Kong based appraisals firm in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Kenneth handles various types of valuations and financial modelling assignments for derivatives trading, public flotation, financing, joint-venture, merger & acquisition, public documentation, litigation support, etc.

Kenneth has been involved in conducting and reviewing over 400 valuations, with an estimated total valuation of over HKD160 billion. These valuations were performed on different businesses, financial instruments, intangible assets and fixed assets, covering a wide spectrum of industries, including natural resources like coal mines, technology like blockchain and crypto currencies, manufacturing, biological assets, financial services, property development projects, shopping malls etc.

Kenneth has written a number of articles on valuation and corporate finance. Apart from co-writing  the book “Mineral and Petroleum Companies in Hong Kong – A Practitioner’s Guide for Listing and Transaction Requirements” published in 2011, Kenneth was also a columnist of Oriental Finance 东方财经杂志, a monthly finance journal which is published in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland China. He is often invited by Hong Kong and overseas professional organisations to give valuation training as well.

Kenneth is a charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He is also a Registered Valuer Member of the Royal Institute of the Chartered Surveyor.
