Plato Wong is a Principal of Advisory Services at Moore Hong Kong, helping our clients manage their sustainability needs and navigate dynamic market conditions.
Plato has 20 years of experience in sustainable development, finance, consulting, and the education sectors. He drives impactful sustainability advisory initiatives, having previously served in Sustainability Advisory at a Big Four firm and in managerial roles at NGOs and financial institutions. He currently advises the CFA Institute on ESG initiatives and serves on the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Sustainability Ethics Advisory Panel, the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association (HKSME) ESG Executive Committee, and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) Environment & Sustainability Committee. Plato is also appointed as the ESG advisor for the Green360 initiative, co‑founded by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) and the Polytechnic University’s Digital Humanity Research Lab.
Plato has experience collaborating with regulatory bodies such as the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB), and the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), as well as global organisations such as Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the World Benchmarking Alliance, and the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN).
Plato holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration degree. He is an EFFAS Certified Environmental, Social, and Governance Analyst (CESGA), a Certified Environmental, Social and Governance Planner (CEP), an Adjunct Professor at Guangzhou Huashang College and an advisor to the CFA Institute.
